Payment

You can pay me with any of these methods:

Annual Rules Meeting

A rules meeting is held every year, a week or 2 before drafting the upcoming season. On this date, team owners can vote on rule changes. This is also the payment deadline for returning teams. Draft order will be determined at the rules meeting via a standard "drawing from a hat" procedure.Draft slot is subject to change in the scenario where the league contains less than the planned number of teams by draft day.Keepers need to be declared no later than 24 hours prior to the draft.

When a rule is proposed at the rules meeting ALL players must vote explicitly vote either "yes/yay" or "no/nay". No Switzerland.

Remote folks, with at least 1 year of league history under their belts, can attend the rules meeting remotely by some way of their own doing. It's not on the commish to make arrangements for this.

Live Drafts (Player stickers / DraftOrDie.com)

A "mulligan" token/card will be given to players upon arrival at the draft which can be used during the draft to make one missed pick. If a player does not have a mulligan available and misses a pick (goes over the time limit), that spot will be left blank and will be chosen at random from the "shitty hat" at the end of the draft from the remaining stickers.

A player who leaves the draft early will have all their subsequent picks delayed until the draft concludes and those skipped picks will be drawn at random from the shitty hat. DraftOrDie will have a way to do this painlessly.

No shows and late players who miss a pick will have that pick chosen by the first person in the draft order. The next times it happens, the 2nd person in the draft order will choose the pick. This will continue until the end of the draft order is reached and snake back if there are more missed picks than draft participants.

General Things

Waivers are Standard. Waiver priority will persist until a player has been claimed during the waiver period by the team manager.

In the case of exactly 14 teams, there will not be divisions. 14 is not as easily divisible like 12 and 16 are. Ditching divisions in this scenario also enables a team to play every other team exactly once.

Custom/weird Rules

League winner will show up physically to the prior champs residence, knock on the door and when greeted state: "Where is my mother-fucking fantasy football trophy?".

Luk-oh-the-irish: 5% of each buy-in goes to a side-pot which will be awarded to the owner with the team having the most total points over the regular season that DOES NOT make the playoffs. In addition to the side-pot, "Luk-oh-the-irish" winner also gets to choose his/her draft slot in next years draft. This is subject to the player remembering to declare it prior to the rules meeting.

Playoffs

6 teams make the playoffs, except in the case where we have 10 total teams or less. With 10 or less teams, only 4 teams will be playoff bound.

Tabled Rules

Since the pandemic, simply ensuring we have enough teams to play each year is a challenge, the following list of rules is tabled at least until things are reasonably back to normal.

A manager that is both a) not present to make their selection and b) has not specified an auto-draft surrogate will see his/her picks delayed until the end of the current round he/she arrives (or returns to) the draft in progress.

The team finishing in last place each year is subject to a penalty of paying 125% percent of the current buy-in amount to return his/her team. If this team decides to vacate his/her team, he/she must pay 25% of the entry fee for the year he/she returns to the league.

League winner will have his/her draft slot pre-determined at the rules meeting for the next season via vote.

A new team may enter the league without a "keeper" for 25% less than the current buy-in.

Until September 25th, 2021 waivers were NOT setup correctly in Yahoo. Per the "Commish Updates", we changed from 'Reverse order of standings' to 'Weekly rolling list based on standings' at that time.
